New take offs_should I go 18s or 20s
Questions for you all. Im upgrading my 2011 from the factory 17s. I can not get the tires to balance and one or two of the rims have a hop. Tired of chasing the unbalancable POS. Looking at new take offs on evil bay. 18 or 20s? Need opinions from all of you that have made this wheel diameter jump. Will either size produce any drivability problems, mainly adverse affects to the trucks brain besides speed calibration?
Secondly which do you think look better. I almost think 20s look too large?

I upgraded from my factory 18's to factory 20 takeoffs soon after I got the truck. I just got another set of takeoffs. I used Craigslist both times and sold my 18's and the first set of 20 takeoffs. I checked out Ebay several times...a lot of sets don't include the sensors or the shipping was too much. If you're patient you can find someone who lifted their truck and wants to sell their OEM's (18 or 20) for a reasonable amount. Also, dealer can recalibrate your speedometer, takes a couple of minutes plugged in to the computer. Good luck.

Same here. I went to from 17s to 18s when my personal preference was "looks cool with M/Ts", then back to 17s when I decided I wanted "truck works better" over looks. It's all what you want, I think 20s are too much metal and not enough rubber.

I just swapped out my factory 18's to these factory 20's. Paid $1150 for the set brand new wheels and tires caps and lugs. Dealer unloaded the truck off the big rig and it went straight to the shop for a lift and bigger tires and I jumped all over that deal lol
