Not hard to start anymore even when I got it hot. Won't be 100 percent sure it's fixed till I can get it out on the water, but I am positive the new fuel pump fixed the running bad issue and filling the crankcase with fuel.

Checked the oil level on the boat this morning and it was perfect so the fuel pump fixed both the issues I was having, running bad and filling the crankcase with fuel. I fixed the front navigation light, still have to check the back one. The horn is toast and so are the radio speakers so I have to get new ones.

It's so hot that my phone shut off and it was sitting in the shade!! I will be going for a swim in the pool this afternoon.

So did you get it in the water today?

I got remotivated in the truck. Got the camper she'll off and about 90% sanded to 220 grit. Filled the old mirror holes on the passage door. Filled in some low areas on the driver side. Got a few more to go.

nice Hugh. Good progress

I got the motor in the truck. Turns out, any advice given to me by these people on here was absolute ****.

To keep my drive shaft length, I have about 1/2 inch of play, maybe 3/4 forward due to the lowered rear end which shoves the driveshaft forward.

So trans member is in with the trans. I have to move the engine perches back, right now they are 3.5 inches back.....

Tomorrow, raise the engine, and get the trans bolted to it, and put driveshaft in to check everything, then drill me some new holes.

But the engine does not sit directly over the front wheels, so now it has a better weight bias, which in turn is a great start to a nasty build..

Chief, good luck with the boat, and relief from the heat in the pool.

Hugh, looks like a good start on the body work.

Texxan, I know that's a lot of work getting all that back together, can't wait to see the final results.

Got a little work done on mine, removed the radiator support to start the usual rust repair they all seem need to have done

I thought I was down to final sanding then paint, but a friend told me it would be better to repair the radiator support before painting the truck. After all the work to remove it I think he was right.

No did not get it on the water today. Wanted to get some things done around the homestead before playing.

I got all the navigational lights working and mounted the fire extinguishers. The horn is toast so I ordered a new one. The radio does not pick up radio stations but will play with an ipod attached. Still need a decent set of speakers. Did a little wood repair to get by for now, but it is going to need a new floor but I'll do that over the winter.

Youll want to get the body lines and gaps all right before painting the truck too.

Sounds like we all had good days. Monday I plan on getting the cam per shell down to 120 grit and shoot the epoxy primer and finish the body work on rt side and one dent 8n the tailgate. Dr appointment Tuesday. Start on the left side midweek. Will not get to shoot color till Aug. Truck budget goes for airfare for the Puerto Rico trip in Sep.

Bob incase you missed it , wife fell in love with the Caribbean while on our cruise. We are giving serious thought to moving down there. Going on a fact finding trip in Sept.
