Radio dies when I open the glove box.
Just like the title says when I open my glove box my radio looses power. And it doesn't get power back unless I slam the glove box shut. I assume there is a loose connection in the dash. Any suggestions where to start looking? Just to maybe save some time.
Thanks, Joe

Get the cheapo double din radio removal tool (if you don;t already have it). Remove the radio and make sure the connections are secure. Then remove your glove box and look for worn wires.
I have to admit, though, my immediate thought when I read your thread title was," Duhhh... just don't open the glove box any more!"... but I managed to hold that smart@55 comment back until I offered a serious response first. [Note to self... successful implementation of self-control at least ONE time today].
Extra Note... Joe, I'm really not trying to make fun... just HAVING a little fun! Absolutely no ridicule intended towards you at all.

On a different note thanks for the actual suggestion. Question, I still have the original Ford head unit, does it use a standard double din removal tool?
Thanks,
Joe

Congratulations on the successful implementation of self control todayl! It was beautifully executed, if I may say so myself. Now if you can keep it up for 21 more days, you could turn implementing self control, ONCE per day, into a permanent habit! Let me know if you need a sponsor.
