Pics of my Trim panels below door panels

I have been trying to figure out how to dress up my doors under the door panels on the cheap. I came up with these. Made them from the left over pieces of my head liner board and got some black vinyl. Going to get some industrial Velcro from work to attach it to the doors. Sorry for the bad pics will post better when I'm all the way done

Nice. Looks good. I did the same thing with left over headliner material heavy vinyl that I used. Its a subtle thing but really adds to interior.

Hey awidjw. I was wondering how did you mount your panels to the door? I'm wondering how my Velcro idea will work in the long run.

hey justin, i used bonding material in a spray can. You can get it at auto parts stores. The secret is prepping both surfaces. Clean, dry and then wipe down with rubbing alcohal. Spray both surfaces and allow about 5 minutes for it to start setting up, it will start bubbling (this is normal). Then just apply the two surfaces together. Make sure you get it right. You only have 1 chance really to pull it off and readjust..haha
on my build thread i believe the picture of the can is on page 8 or 9. You can click my link in my signature and just go to those pages. It comes in an orange can as well. 3m also makes a adhesive to affix emblems to body panels (found at auto parts stores) it comes in a small tube like superglue. This would work as well and is stupid strong. Once you put it on, it will not come off (without a crowbar..lol)

That is tight!...Imagine if you could put a could put a logo on it somewhere?...It could be done maybe by embroidering the vinyl before you attach to the form board?

I put those cut carpet pieces on mine, I would have much preferred something like this!...Nice Job!

Axidjw your truck looks good I like the kick panel idea. I'm going too have to make some more panels now. Ba63. I thought about a design or something in it when I was making mine but if it isn't a stick figure or straight lines I'm out lol. Would be cool looking tho if someone out there did that tho

I have a person who does embroidery on my company hats. I may have to give this a try? I was thinking a Ford logo and the package of my truck. ie: 1976 Ranger or something like that. I guess I could do the same with those carpet covers...anyway, still a great job there!
