Question about installing window regulators in 1952 F1
Hello all, I just bought a 1952 F1 that is almost ready to be driven, and one of the things I need to do is install the windows. I have looked all over and have not found any information about this, so I figured I'd ask. I put in all of the new seals and ventilator, and taped the window so it stays up and it is on the tracks, but I'm having trouble fitting the regulator up in the door because the division bar is right in the way. Should the regulator go in first? But that would mean I'd have to take out the division bar and window and I don't know how those can fit in past the regulator. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I tried that also but I still could not get it. Basically what I couldn't figure out is where the division bar is supposed to go in relation to the regulator. If I put it like this in the picture above, I cannot get the holes close enough to screw into the door.
But when I try and put the division bar behind the regulator like this, there is something in the way and I also cannot bring it close enough.
Here is the division bar when it is behind the regulator, it does not go down far enough to bring the regulator close enough to the door to screw in.
I also looked in my owners manual and could not find any information about the order of installation and where everything goes exactly.

I "THINK" I put the glass in the bottom of the door. Then stuck the division bar in and out of the way loose.
Installed regulator, got division bar close, slid window into track and pushed up out of the way. Then made adjustments and tightened bolts.
Pinned regulator to window lift bar thingy afterward? I think?

Wow that took forever! Thank you so much for the help; I finally got the drivers side fit in thanks to the pictures as reference. Looks like I'll start the passengers side tomorrow but at least I know how to do it now so it shouldn't take all day like this one did. Now its almost ready for the road.

I am having a hell of a time. To put in these windows. Already chipped a new glass. Bent a new actuator arm. Anyone have any good pictures of how to install these windows. It would be greatly appreciated
the anti rattlers are they supposed to stick out. Because mine hit a couple of solid pieces of metal in the window channels of the doors where I screw them to and they stick out now

I have never done this but logic would dictate that you put the sticky side on the glass because it would be really difficult or near impossible to get the sticky side down inside the channel without it sticking to the sides before you get it all the way in. I do recall reading somewhere a long time ago that the glass is pressed into the channel. So again, if the webbing isn't all the way down inside the channel, you stand the chance of tearing it. So I am for attaching the sticky side to the glass.
