What have you forgotten before painting the cab.

Most of the metal work on the cab is done and i want to primer and paint it. I just cant help but feel i have forgotten something. I would like to hear from you guys that did frame swaps and go over it all to make sure im not welding on a bracket for the petals or booster and maybe an interior item after i spray it. So tell me what did you almost forget before painting?

Personally, I would hold off on painting until all of the mechanical and parts fitting is done and the truck is running. Never know when you might have to drill a hole or weld something on...

So you would hold up on the firewall and dash also .I thought that it mounted would be too hard for sanding or to get areas . It is going on a existing running chassis but you are right about linkage and such. I think a major problem for me is I won't be able to paint it myself with cab mounted.

I guess it depends on the project.....if you are at a point where all you have left to do is paint, then assemble the truck then go for it. If it requires more fab and modifications, fresh paint probably isn't wise.
I really hate it when I ding up new shiny paint.
