06 F350 King Ranch with Lariat seats
Looking at a 2006 F350 King Ranch. Truck looks clean, but it has Lariat embroidered seats. Is this normal? I thought that the King Ranch's, even an 06 model, had their own "brand" of seats. CarFax shows no issues with the vehicle, one owner. Interior still has King Ranch marking on cup holder, and two tone steering wheel, but seats have lariat markings. Exterior has King Ranch badgeing still in place. What gives????

My thoughts exactly UMark. This is an independent dealer, so I am suspecting a stolen truck that was quickly recovered, and person went back with lariat leather instead of king ranch leather due to price. Will do some more checking online to see what I find.

I wouldn't necessarily think it may have been stolen at some point but maybe the kingranch interior was looking tired and he found an ebay deal on a cleaner set of lariate seats. Depending on mileage it may have been just worn out from getting in and out. I'm nkt sure hkw difficult it would be for an upholsterer to source that type of leather found in a king ranch

I've bought cars from dealers that did the same thing. I bought a Mustang without a hood because the dealer was in the process of taking the good hood off of it to put on his car. I bought it before he put it on the lot and put my cowl hood on it. Bought another one with a different color hatch because the dealer swapped it to his. I was using it as a drag car, so I didn't care if it matched.

Thanks for all the info guys, and yes, flood possibility had crossed my mind. I will have to go take a look at it to be 100%, but with the mileage (210,000+) I am leaning toward worn seats. Not a complete deal breaker if the rest of the truck checks out, but a very strong negotiating tool.
I am developing a purchase strategy of bring up the point of NO King Ranch interior at the absolute last moment before purchase. We go cheaper or I walk........that along with the normal 6.0L repair hierarchy to consider.
Truck was a one owner in Dallas area it's entire life. Thanks again.
