2wd / 4wd auto/manual
Alright here's the deal two trucks
1984 Ford F-150 302 automatic trans 2wd
1984 Ford F-150 302 manual trans 4wd.
Will the transfer case out of the 4x4 bolt up to the automatic trans?
What else would I need to swap front and rear axles , drive shafts , transfer case... Anything else ? But mostly will the transfer case from the 4x4 bolt up to the auto

To keep the current tranny without going to unreasonable lengths you need to keep the truck 2WD.
Or as DeereFord said, you could buy a 4WD C6, take all of the parts out of it, take all of the parts out of your 2WD C6, take the tailshaft and tailshaft housing from the 4WD C6 and put them in your 2WD. You might be able to do the reassembly yourself, but auto trannies seem to be one of those things where everyone uses a shop (I've never done it so I can't say whether I think you can do it at home or not).
The ONLY way this would come close to making sense is if you have a freshly rebuilt 2WD C6 and you can get a junked 4WD C6 essentially for free. Then MAYBE it would be cheaper to change the 2WD trans to 4WD than it would be to rebuild the 4WD. But even then you'd probably be money ahead to sell the 2WD trans and buy and rebuild a 4WD one.

The simplest would probably be to move your dad's truck body over to the 4WD chassis and end up with a manual trans 4WD that is sorta your dad's old truck. You'd need to keep the pedal assembly from the manual trans truck, and I'm not sure what would be the easiest way to do the wiring: keep it from the 2WD body? the 4WD chassis/engine? some hybrid combination?
If you want an auto 4WD in your dad's truck it'd still be easiest to swap your dad's cab & bed to the 4WD chassis, but first get a 4WD auto trans and stick that in.
On the other hand, if you don't want to swap chassis (the 4WD frame is rusted out too, or sentimental reasons, which are very valid), I don't think it's too hard to swap the front axle from a 4WD F-150 to a 2WD F-150. Then get a 4WD trans (or use the manual that's in your donor truck) and put the 4WD trans and transfer case in your dad's truck. I'm not sure what you'll need to do with the rear suspension (the 2WD suspension will sit too low, but the 4WD uses wider spring leaves so you can't stick them on your 2WD truck without a little more work). And you will need to make sure the front and rear axles use the same gear ratio (maybe use the rear axle from the 4WD as well as the front).
It might even be be that converting the 2WD truck to 4WD is easier than swapping bodies and that should be your first choice. I don't know, maybe others can weigh in.
