Gear oil change

Well, I changed the rear diff gear lube with 75w-140 synthetic and added 4oz friction modifier as per Ford.
When I do the front diff, that calls for 75w-90 non-synthetic. Question is can I use 75w-90 synthetic or is there any difference in using either?
The t-case (BW4406) calls for mercon atf, is there any difference in using mercon v atf?

you can use anything in the front axle.. 80 w90 is the OLD STANDARD.. If you want to spend extra for the synthetic, that's fine, but not necessary.

MERCON V is not acceptable for the transfer case. Too many addatives. You are suppose to use Automatic Transmission fluid, but the old generic kind is required. MERCON is OK. ATF is OK, Dextron 1-2-3 is OK... NOT the new high addative synthetic stuff like MERCON V.
