Carpet replacement

Hey Guys, got a 2005 Super duty crew cab. Capet is trashed. Looking for some opinions on decent quality carpet replacement. I see a bunch on ebay, obviously looking for a good price but wanted to hear your opinions on the quality of the ones you replaced yours with. TIA

With your VIN handy call Ed at FICMRepair.com - FORD Powerstroke 6.0 FICM Repair, PHP Tuning and Truck Parts
You can also use the "Contact Us" page from there site and
just let them know what your looking for and your VIN so that they
can give you the correct part for your truck.
After all of that you will know what the best cost for one from Ford will be.
Ed takes good care of people and if you don't see a part ask them.

Don't forget the spray on stuff from Lizardskin.
Sound Control Insulation - Sound Damping Coating | LizardSkin

They have both sound and heat control insulation.

I've read your paying a lot for the name. There's other choices out there for less money. Off the top of my head, I can't think of the specific brands...

I've also read numerous times that it's a waste to cover everything with the stick on sound deadener. Not to mention expensive! The purpose of the mat is to deaden the harmonics that cause vibrations and distortions. I can see where the spray on version would eliminate needing to decide where to put it.
Rock Auto sells different versions of replacement carpet available in different colors and plushness as well as sound deadening.

Thanks for the advertisement, but not what I was looking for.

Putting the train back on the track, looking for a reasonable priced carpet, OEM quality. Sound deadener is hopefully going to come with the carpet, but if not, I will simply reuse the OEM one.

You did ask for it and just did again.
If you bother to ask the people at FICMrepair you will find that they way undercut
the dealer. One example is injectors dealer cost is around $265 and from FICMrepair
they are just a tiny bit over $200.

So a reasonably priced OEM quality would be gotten that way.

BTW if you want OEM quality the low price stuff out there is a joke. Also most
wrecking yards toss any floor covering in the trash and won't pull it for you. If you have
a Pick and Pull you might try that if you don't mind the foul and nasty that most wrecks
have on the floors.

Your next option is to use the Vendor Directory and check out some of the vendors to see
if someone has whet your looking for.

Also if you don't like the answer you get here go over to the Heavy Duty Forum and ask them.
I am sure someone over there has replaced the carpet. Be sure to ask how well it holding up.
