I'm guessing the first two characters are D2?
Guessing doesn't cut it, because...There are TWO possible Pitman Arms that contain TA-3590-BA

D2TZ-3590-B .. Pitman Arm-Use with P/S / Marked: D2TA-3590-BA / Obsolete

1972 F100/250 2WD from serial number M00,001 / 1973/79 F100/250 (F250 under 8,100 lbs. GVWR) 2WD Regular & Super (1974/79) Cabs.

Yeah, I realize it is an old thread but the title caught my eye. "What just broke?" It looks to me that part has been broken, cracked for a long time. Note the thin section of bright metal that was the only thing holding the arm together for a while.

I noticed that also . It was damaged in the past , then it broke the rest of the way through .
