1989 302 to 351 engine swap help
Hi i have a 1989 bronco with the 302 and a 5speed trans. i also have a 1990 F250 with a 351 and a automatic trans. I want to pull the 351 out of the truck and put it into the bronco. Will i have computer issues? Basically what do i need to change from one to the other? Both motors run great. I want to change the bronco motor out because it is lacking power and it also wont start after warmed up.

That is a pretty easy swap but you will need..
A 5.8 PCM for a manual or C6 automatic, I'm assuming the f250 has an e4od which means that PCM is no good to you.
A 28oz flywheel for the M5 trans
Modify the 5.0 Y pipe or install the 5.8 Y from the f250.
With all that the motor will bolt in and run fine as long as you don't use any wiring from the F250, use only the wiring currently in the Bronco. And to that end I'd suggest you pull codes and make sure there are no issues with the EFI system in the Bronco that are going to cause headaches with the engine swap.
