Well the stock limited slip in my 95 F350 no longer works. I'm thinking about swapping it with a Detroit Truetrac. Does anyone have any experience with one in these trucks?

 

Hello why not 95, I just got a 96' dually.. And also heard the Detroit truetrac is the best product... I realized I needed an improvement in traction when backing up a grassy hill.. What happened with your 95' ?

 

Haven't done anything yet. I'm saving money for a gear change and plan to install some sort of traction device when I do. From what I've read the TrueTrac is about the best you can go with in a limited slip. I was just looking for anyone who has experience with them.

 

I can remember reading about this torsen diff in popular science when I was in high school.


Torsen might be better as both wheels will always move unlike the Trutrac, one wheel could still spin on ice.


Torsen was banned in Nascar since the cars were going too fast around the corners
