Going to pull the 5.4 3valve out of my f250, picked up a motor from a 05 expedition, everyone says it'll work just gotta put oil cooler on expedition motor,anyone ever done this swap? thanks

 

motors are basically identical. And yes an oil cooler would be a good idea, I would recommend a oil pump as well since the oem ones are very weak. Use 5w-30 full synthetic as well and depending on the mileage clean or replace the vct solenoids. Check the cam phasers and if you can brand new motorcraft platinum spark plugs. Try to do new intake gaskets vacuum lines, New thermostat, etc. Hope the advise was helpful (:
