Went to dealer for diesel exhaust fluid system fault and now bluetooth doesn't work

Went to dealer for diesel exhaust fluid system fault and now bluetooth doesn't work

2015 6.7 King Ranch. At 35k miles my check engine light came on and it popped up as a Diesel Exhaust Fluid Fault.

Went to dealer #1, diagnosed it as two failed nox sensors. Dealer #1 did not have them in stock. Had to drive 400 miles that day so I called around and found another dealer 50 miles away that did have them in stock. Pleaded with them to get me in that same day... and props to them, they were able to.

I didn't get a receipt since the service manager had to leave home early and told me they would mail it. No big deal.

Truck got repaired, diesel exhaust fluid fault is fixed. However after getting it back from them my blue tooth stereo will no longer connect to any of my phones.

The blue tooth calling works fine, but I drive about 4k miles a month and use the blue tooth stereo feature to listen to audio books and use it almost daily.

I am thinking something got re flashed or "updated" on the truck. When I hit the blue tooth stereo button in Sync, a screen now pops up with the option to select that phone I want the blue tooth stereo to connect to (I have two phones). This screen never used to pop up before.

I select the phone and nothing happens. The screen just goes away but doesn't connect. I've removed and reconnected both phones to the blue booth, neither one will connect to the blue tooth stereo feature anymore.

Odd but the truck also feels as if it has slightly less power. Could just be placebo effect but it doesn't seem to be as throttle responsive as it was before my trip to the dealer, again leading me to think something was re-flashed.

Anyone had this happen before? Making appointments at the dealership is very difficult for me since I drive all over the state and never know where I'll be several days in advance. And the drives are miserable without my audio books

I have about 400 miles before my 36k bumper to bumper warranty runs out and those 400 miles will be up by Tuesday. Should I quickly purchase an extended service plan from flood ford? Or just get the blue tooth fixed and then delete the DEF?

Send a pm to the Ford IVT Team. They are the Sync experts who frequent this board. Or check the Ford owner site and get the number for the Sync help desk.

You may try to do a master reset of the sync system and see if that helps.

Sounds like they did a reflash as well.

go to settings...The little gear icon and I believe with some hunting it is in there. Been sometime since I did a reset.
