Automatic headlights

I have a 2016 F350 Lariat. I feel the auto headlights do not come on soon enough. I have not talked to Ford yet, but am wondering if there is a way to adjust when the auto lights come on?

Is it possible to turn them on manually, by pulling on the switch?

They can be turned on and off manually, this is probably the best solution to your problem. You can also put electrical tape on the sensor so they are on all the time.

Or you might experiment with varying opacities of translucent tape to adjust the sensor's response....

Another option is to have your dealer turn on your DRL in the bcm. True it's not full on headlights, but I've found it generally enough during that time between dusk and the time the auto lights come on.

That's truly a novel concept that I never thought of, but it would require exertion and I paid good money for auto lights and I want them to work like I want!

The simplest solution was mentioned above. Have dealer turn on Daytime Running Lights as a safety feature and the give you some illumination prior to the headlights coming on full to their brightest output.

First, do you mean they don't turn on right away even when it's dark? Or do you mean as you're driving and it gets dark, they don't come on until it's almost TOO dark?
