Old guy resurfaces

I haven't posted in a while mostly due to health and recovery issues. HOWEVER, I am feeling pretty good these days and have registered for the PUL Nats West in JUne and have made reservations at headquarters. I will be bringing my 56 and all the stories that go with it. I have talked to a couple members and would like to know who is planning to attend. My oldest grandson will be attending with me. We are calling this the "Remember Randy Walker tour"

Glad to see you're back and feeling better.

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to take my truck there for the first time or not. We went last year and looked at all the trucks there. It was a good turnout.

Sorry to hear about your health issues, I hope you are on the mend.
I'll tip one back in memory of Randy! He was a good man

Thanks Bobby, it's good to be up and around. I now have a carbon fiber mitral valve courtesy of Mayo clinic in Rochester. Minn. If you need new parts they might as well be high-tech

I am glad you are feeling better thanks to technology! I didn't know they could do that. My Mom had her mitral valve replaced with a valve from a pig!

Glad your mom is good Abe. The hospital staff determined that I already had a pig heart so they had to do the upgrade I had forgotten how much I enjoy this forum, thanks for welcoming me. I don't know that we will do a tribute to Randy as such but this would have been the first time he and I could have our trucks together, we talked about it a lot it just never happened. We were a lot alike and I miss him a bunch.

What ever happened to Randy's truck.? Did anyone in his family ever finish it and take over his legacy ?

Randy's son was at the wake and told me that he was taking the truck back to Texas. I believe he also said that he had a shop in mind to finish it and that it was going to bright yellow. That was the last I heard of it. I recently e-mailed Diane but I have not heard back from her.

Good to know it's still in the family and the son has the interest to finish it, hope we all get to see it when it's done.
