4 wheel ABS conversion 1994 E150 Van
Hello,
I have a 1994 E150 Club Wagon which came with 4 wheel ABS brakes. The HCU has failed and I am having trouble finding a replacement (on number 3 now from another junked van as the first 2 were already burned out). I want to remove the 4 wheel ABS and either install a more modern 2 wheel system, or remove the ABS altogether.
This system is preventing me from using a perfectly great van in which I have spent $$$ restoring and customizing!!
What would I have to do to remove and or convert this ridiculous 4 wheel ABS system which seemingly has no fix?
Thank you!

It shouldn't be a huge brain drain removing the entire ABS and building your own brake plumbing system using the existing calipers, master cylinder etc.
The only issue I foresee is whether the front/rear bias proportioning blocks would be affected or need swapped out---I have no working knowledge of this BTW, WAG's here.
I'm also thinking proportioning valves etc from a pre-92 E150 might be usable---the chassis are very very similar back to '78 or so.
You might also post this same situation in the Brakes sub-forums---bet more than a couple hot rodders have done something similar over there.
