1973 F-100 4 inch lift
Hello everyone
Any recommendations on lifting a 1973 f-100 4x4 by 4 inches? I have springs in the front and leafs in the back. Looking to get 3.5 inches in the back and 4 in the front.
1. I saw it is being done with using blocks in the rear; is it a sound idea?
2. To have 3.5 inches lift in the front what springs are recommended?
Thank you in advance.
Nick

Sounds familiar!
There are differing opinions on lift blocks. I think they're okay to use on mild trails and such. Hardcore wheeling, where a tire/wheel can get wedged, and there is a risk of the axle wrap and spitting out the block. For 100 percent, worthiness, get new lift springs.
I don't understand your specifying 3.5-inch lift coils. If you want to level it out, then adjust the height of the rear lift blocks.
A 4-inch lift will typically require a longer rear brake hose. A 4-inch lift is decent with 35-inch tall tires. Using 33s and the truck looks toppy.
No mention of transmission... regardless, 35s are doggy with 3.50 rear gears and way better with 3.90 rear gears. 33s are generally okay with 3.50 gears.
