Best place to install remote oil filter

So I had to install a remote filter as my coyote is a bit big and the filter hits the alternator (I guess I could probably find a different pulley system, but I already have $2K in to my March Performance system and it looks like there would be some interference with the Rack-n-Pinion).

Anyways, any advice? I was thinking of installing it on the firewall, but that would probably be about 3 feet of travel in one direction (which may not be a bad thing, I've read conflicting info).
