Hello everyone. I have a 2002 F-550 w/7.3. Here is that I did so far. It had an oil leak at the pan. I dropped the pan and put new silicon on it. I installed the pan. I also replaced the rear main seal. The oil cooler evidently was leaking oil into the coolant and I replaced it as well. I changed the oil & filter. Filled the cooling system and also filled the reservoir. My problem is I do not see the oil pressure gauge move when cranking the engine nor do I see the rpm gauge move. will the cps have anything to do with the oil gauge not working. I have never run into the problem before as I have dropped many oil pans in my fleet without any problems. any help would be much appreciated
I don't think my RPM gauge on my 2002 moves either when cranking, only when the engine is actually running. As to your other issue, I have no idea, never really look at my oil gauge when cranking, I am sorry
Pirsch I understand what you are saying and obviously there isn't oil pressure because there is no oil going into the reservoir. Another question Could the oil cooler check valve be bad not causing oil pressure to build up?

Assuming its installed correctly....
Pull the LPOP and replace or find out what you did yo it and fix it.
Well didn't have to take the gearator off. Lucky me. It turned out to be a bad check valve in the filter portion of the cooler housing. replaced it and I now have oil pressure
I was just down there rescuing a buddy of mine. He was delivering furniture to an apartment building 4000 N. Charles street and someone stole his box truck, with furniture in the back....
