I have a 74 f100 2wd with a 460 and a 390 PI motor. Not certain on which i will use yet... I am making a lowrider similer to otg designs's boss f100. Mine will be the 1970's grabber green instead of red though. This is my first pickup build.
mustang ii ifs kit. Mostly installed. Just mocked up because i will have to take it all off other than the weld on stuff before sandblasting and repainting
Nice!! Good luck. Take lots of pics, we love a good build thread. Subscribed..
Thanks! I will try to take as many pics as i can. I am still in high school so i will have to finish that before i can get too crazy with this project. but its a lot of fun!
I plan to paint it similar to this color scheme. I will have the boss stripes same as the red pickup above. I will paint it grabber green instead. And I'm just going to set up the wheels and spacing for originals for now until i can afford some nice rims and tires
yea, im doing the same thing right now in my build..man,what a pain in the butt bodywork and paint is. Im restoring it back to calypso coral orange (im adding a pearl to it though) with matte black stripes on hood and cab and painting the trim matte black and then finish off painting my lips black with calypso orange inserts for inside of the rims.
yea, if you click the click the link in my signature it will take you to my build thread. When you have a minute jump to the end, its not stupid long but its about 15 pages. Have a laugh on me and read the last 3 or 4 pages of my bodywork, paint fiasco..haha
im doing all the work myself (thus the budget build thread name) and im nor body work or paint guy but its coming along pretty good, hope to have it finished this week, minus the trim painting and the stripes, going to elt paint cure for about a week or so. my old girl is a 1975 f100 2wd auto explorer package with the long bed like yours.
Oh, ok, sweet! I'm a paint and body work guy but not much of a fab guy. So I had to redo both my front and rear suspension because of a design flaw... Haha, so I hope paint and body work goes better for me than the fab has so far. I will check out your build!
