I don't understand why this is still being discussed.
Back in post #20, bigwin56f100 mentioned he has a set of drums. Have you contacted him about getting those?
Well sure, but used in unknown condition vs the prospect of finding NOS is to me a no brainer. Kevin's are a sure thing, admittedly, but still on the donor, and if near spec once pulled will solve the problem. But what if they aren't.
And besides, for my part, I get a kick out of doing the research. Stu
I have contacted Kevin with a PM. We are in the process of determining condition and price to help me make a good decision. When I started this thread I was curious about all my options. With my rebuild being my first, I have a lot to learn. I have received so much positive advise from members and I am for ever grateful. Thank you!
... Machined from standard F-250 drums, then the sleeves were dry ice frozen and dropped into turned and pre-heated customer M-H drums. He said it worked fine, but he would not guarantee them for on road use. I've also heard others say that sleeved drums are not DOT approved. Stu
The problem with relining an existing out-of-spec drum is that you have to cut it further for a clean surface. I wouldn't consider this for anything but a show truck.

The condition of Kevin's drums aren't known unless he pulls them. They may be no better.

I understand the condition of Kevin's drums are unknown until he pulls them off the truck, but the thread kept building with other suggestions and no mention that his offer had been noticed.
Of course they may be no better than those they would replace, but I kept following to see how that would turn out, and it was not mentioned again until I asked. I even gave Kevin reps for offering to look.

Dave, I'm assuming you got those drums from Kevin, but wanted to revive this thread just in case you or anyone else had new info about the C2TZ-1126-D drum dilemma. I have my own 66 F350 with these drums.

I still have the drums as shipping was quite expensive and Dave found some from someone else. Send me a PM Kevin
