Does anyone have NOS or good used lenses for the turn signals on my 55 F350? They are made by a company I never heard of before: Auto Lamp of Chicago. I love these big turn signals on the front fenders but some the lenses are cloudy, scratched and at least one is broken at the screw holes. There are 4 screws. The lens says Auto Lamp 500, Chicago.

The Signal Stat drum light lenses are interchangeable, and imho, think they look and perform better.

Tail light king... I forgot to check out his website. I 've bought stuff from him before.

 

Yes and yes. However, they will be only slightly easier to find. Just thought you might like an alternative. Auto Lamp Co. was more famous for their hand held sealed beam spot light.

 

I already checked eBay for Signal Stat turn signal lenses and didn't find just lenses, but several of complete units.

But this will increase my chances of finding some. Thanks!

 

The company may have changed hands a number of times but those were pretty common lenses for quite a few years. Catalog cross-referencing has probably disappeared. You might just try taking a lens to the your nearby truck parts supplier and see if they can match it up. Also you might try any old truck shops that have been around for a while. Another possibility could be state and county garages, they almost never throw anything away.

 

I bought 2 red and one amber Signal Stat on ebay today. will let you know how they look and fit!
