Carrier Bearing & U Joints

Carrier Bearing & U Joints
My center support bearing (carrier bearing) is bad and needs replacement as well as my u-joint on the rear drive shaft right before the rear axle. I walk into the part store to grab the parts i needed but there are so many options. i don't want to take off my drive shaft and end up stuck because i have the wrong parts. I have an 03' f250 super duty super crew with the short bed 4wd 5.4L engine. can someone give me the part numbers or dimensions for these parts. The guy at the part store thinks the center support bearing was the 1310 and the u-joint was the 232 but i wasn't sure.

I am going to be doing the same thing soon. What ever you purchase make sure they are a Spicer non-greasable U-joint and bearing. I have a local drive shaft shop that specializes in this which is where I will be going.
You should also have 3 u-joints on the rear alone, might as well replace them all at once.

Suggestion, through experience.... Do you have a Fleet Pride or a drive shaft shop in your area? Check them out. They will have the higher quality parts(non china) Spicer)) as well as the knowledge to know exactly what you have and even install it properly unless youe hell bent on DYI. Shaft shop will offer a warranty to-boot. Hell you may be surprised at how little it costs to have them install the parts. TIP: You have the shaft out...do both (all) Ujoints and the carrier. Have the right slip joint grease from Ford Motorcraft XG-8. The shaft shop will balance it for you too, this is critical for most drive shafts.
