I assume the rear blower motor still works that would help circulate the front A/C around the Van, and if there's any roof ducting for it that's a plus! I'm in Michigan and like having the rear heater on for longer trips, no sweaty feet.........lol
With thinking like that, it would make me wonder "why not just put in a new compressor at $100" plus just the "front" lines then I'd be all set!
Hmm I wonder just how hard changing a set of lines would be........it looks really tight in there..........
I looked for photos of my 88 ClubWagon, dual heat/AC factory. This is the best one I could find: red arrow is one of the heater lines, hose and hard line. The green stuff is HI/LO AC lines, also hose and hard line with Quick Connects. Ignore the blue stuff, fuel selector lines.
The conversion van folks use a variety of parts, the back to back Rotalock valves may have just been the fastest way to connect up the lines with the parts at hand. A call to a local RV repair shop might provide information or options on getting the leak fixed?
