Guys and gals, just a heads up, NAPA is having a month long sale on Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5W-40 Full Synthetic and Premium Blue 15W-40.

The 5W-40 is $17.99/Gal - normally between $26-29/Gal, and the 15W-40 is $11.69/Gal.

This is arguably the best 5W-40 oil that you can purchase for HEUI injectors and HPOP's and it is cheaper than Rotella T-6 by approx. $2/Gal if you take advantage of this sale. The 15W-40 is better than T-5 IMO.

If you've been straddling the fence on whether to try this oil or a full synthetic, now is the time to jump.

Thanks for the heads-up. Considering how important clean oil is to our engines, for both lubrication and fueling, and how much of it we use, this deal is especially good! I always buy more than I think I'll need, and it never turns out to be enough.

So, will the engines in our trucks be able to run the CK-4 HT/HS?

 

I cleared out the local NAPA of its stock, and might ask them to bring in more. In addition to the Powerstroke, I have a couple of KTMs, an air-cooled Porsche, and a couple vintage Alfas (one's a race car); all require frequent changing of good synthetic oil. Yeah, I put truck oil in my motorcycles. Lots of KTM owners are using Rotella T-5, but this Valvoline synthetic is probably better.

Thanks for the heads up. got 12 gallons of the full syn today. The wife froze up when I told her till I said I saved 150 bucks.
