!996 f350 4x4 7.3 with no wait to start light

howdy yall, i have just bought this truck really cheap, and i got told a story about this truck and what he did, the Guy i got it from told me the was a 20 amp fuse under the hood in the #9 spot blown and he said he changed it but once he turn the key it blown it, so he stuck a 60 amp fuse in it and he said it ran for 4 days, not i got the truck and trying to get it back to running, here is a list i replace, i changed all the glow plugs, glow plugs relay, all the fuel injectors, traces all the wiring, changed some oil presser senser, still no wait to start light, i need help, truck has 253XXX miles on it

Check fuse 22 if blown unplug the fuel bowl heater

the fuse 22 is not blown and i did unpluged the fuel heater

the only fuse it keeps blown is the number 9, but it not blown it now cause i might have some wiring bad some where ot some computer

Putting in a higher-rated fuse is a great way to set your wiring (or more) on fire. Diagnose it like you would any other short. From the owner's manual, determine all components energized by the fuse, and disconnect them. Reconnect them one by one until the fuse blows.

It's a very good chance that the larger fuse took out the idm or pcm or both

My manual calls for a 30 amp fuse for #9, and says it controls the Power Control Module, PCM Power Relay, Electronic Transmission Control, Injector Pressure Regulator, Injector Drive Module. It might be a good idea to check the wiring to the IPR, it might be grounding out, but as Mike pointed out that higher amp fuse might have caused bigger problems.

I'm in central Texas, near Waco area, I changed the idm on the finder w3ll and not working
