8.8" Ford rear axle codes

I'm sorry to do this as a search revealed this to be a common question, but I couldn't find the answer to one of the numbers. I just bought an 8.8" rear axle. It is supposed to be from a Sport Trac which means that it should be from 2000-2010.

The ID tag reads as follows:
S663A = So based upon what I've pieced together it was built at Sterling Heights and it is revision A. What I cannot find is what the 663 code means. I think that is the model of vehicle.

The other codes I found:
4L10 = 4.10:1 ratio with a locking differential
88 = 8.8" ring gear
0K09 = built Oct. 9, 2000 (so that should be a 2001 MY vehicle).

So can anyone tell me what the 663 means?

Thanks,

I thought that from 2000 on they had disc brakes on the rears. My 8.8 with limited slip and 3.73 ratio, from a 2000 Explorer, has disc brakes.

Guess not on Sport Trac. I think that they were trying to keep price down on Sport Trac.
