E350 Dana 60 FF to Dana 70 FF

Hello Ladies & Gents,

I currently have a Dana 60 FF rear axle on my 2000 E350 PSD w/3.55. I recently perfermed a UJOR 4x4 conversion and slid a 2003 Dana 60 in the front from an F250 w/4.10. To keep my wheels' bolt pattern the same all around, I bought some 2" spacers which also convert the 8x6.5 bolt pattern to 8x170.

Ok, now I have found a Dana 70 FF axle from a 15 passenger SRW van that has low mileage and 4.10 gears at a local wrecker. I went to pick it up and to my surprise it has what looks to be dually brakes/hubs on it BUT it came off a 15 passenger van SRW. I measured the spring perches and they are spot on between the dana 60 and dana 70 as is the measurement from the outer spring perch face to the caliper mount face.

Considering I NEED to re-use my spacers to keep my wheels with 8x170 pattern, How do I go about this swap? I wanted to just bolt the dana 70 right in as a replacement for the dana 60 however the hub ends are puzzling me. I know I can remove the dana 70 dually spacer and rotor but then do I just replace them with the dana 60 hub and rotors? Is it that simple? Looking for some expertise from anyone that is familiar with these 2 axles. I have attached pics of the 2 axles. Thanks in advance!

Yea, I talked to Chris and he say it may work depending on the WMS measurements but he thinks it isn't worth the effort. I was just wondering if anyone here has done anything like this. I found some threads in other forums but nothing detailed. I can basically have the axle for nothing so this is a cost effective option for me rather that a gear change IMO.

Anyone do a swap similar?

I was always under the impression that the dually rear, like the front, used adapters.
Maybe the axels from a 60 would fit when the ends are removed??
