Electrical connector on rear tank. Removeable???
Trying to figure out why my rear tank reads way past full. I'm aware that there is an open circuit on the yellow wire. I've traced it all the way to either the sender or the connection to the tank. Don't want to drop the tank yet. Is there a way to take off the black plastic connector on the rear tank, or is it fused to the housing? Doesn't look like there's any clips holding it on but I've read of guys taking that connector off to bend the pins slightly for better contact. Please help wanna take care of this issue asap.

Here is a picture of the connector.
It is removable. It has three clip points that can be a bit of a pain to get loose, but it does come off. Both tanks use the same connector. The connector and socket are going to probably be full of old anti-corrosion gel, so you might want to clean that out and put something like dielectric grease in there to keep moisture out.
You might go ahead and pull the whole sending unit and pump assembly and check the connections on the unit itself. There are four different wires with mini spade terminal connections; if those come loose, you'll have issues.
