Do you ever get concerned about water under it and rust doing that?
Just curious. ☺

I would not recommend this. We have a fleet of about 12 97-03 xl f150 in my dept. at work. Several of the guys do this to their trucks. There has been several occasions that they had to take the trucks to the truck shop afterwards for electrical issues. The mechanics will usually let the truck sit for a couple days and everything is fine. This also pushes mud deeper into crevices, eventually causing rust and fowl odors. I love my vinyl seats and floor, I sweep it out real quick every day or two and use the armerall cleaning wipes(not the protectant wipes) once a week. It takes Me about 10 minutes to clean the entire inside of a crew cab if I keep up with it. Wiping the door jambs is part of my routine. I've had 1 can of wipes for over 2 months now.

I run the 91 perf/tow tune and fill the truck with 93 octane when I tow any distance with a load over 3k. I echo the others in that I love the 5 star tunes. My bumper pull travel trailer and gear is around 6k, and here in flat ol' Florida, I get between 9-10 mpg if I keep it around 62 mph or less. Over 65 the mileage drops into the mid 8's and into the high 7's over 73. I have the 3.73 and truck is a 4wd sc with the long box 23k miles. stock tires on 18" wheels (for now).

I have been running the 93 performance tune around town (unloaded) and I love it.

Cheapest thing to do to have a noticeable effect would be a tuner. Most expensive thing and the most noticeable in my opinion would be change the gears to 4.30. I did both and the 4.30 made the most difference for me.

I put my tuner on this past weekend. I run the 87 daily/tow tune and I love it. My wife says it gives her the tinglies in her pee pee parts when I hit the gas. She's 33, so I'm guessing that means it's working.

Just for that reason alone I think I'll get a tuner!

I've had my 2015 f350 for a year and a half now. I just got my 5 star tuner and had them put in a 91 octane performance tune. Huge, huge difference. I own a gas station so all i have ever ran was 91 octane and figured I should have the timing advanced a bit since i run the high octane. Well we can no longer grab the distributer and advance it ourselves so I ordered the tuner. Very happy. I'm not sure I like how long it hangs onto the gears before shifting though. I may have them change it just a tad.
