SYNC 3 radio just stops working?

Well, picked up the truck yesterday. The dealer was unable to detect, thus repair, the issue.
Next steps is to bring it in once I am able to get the defect to reproduce so they can hook up a PC at that time.
Not too upset with this. I work developing software for scientific instruments and this are very similar steps that need to be taken when a customer reports a problem to us.

My radio has stopped working twice in the last week or so. First time the volume or touchscreen did not work. Didn't think about voice activation.
Second time it quit I tried the screen and volume ****, no dice so tried voice activate Sirius and everything began working, screen, **** etc.
Go figure.

So, this happened again today at the grocery store.
I went directly to the dealer and a Tech hooked it up to one of their diagnostics computers. I watched the diagnostic scan come back with no errors reported. I cannot fault the dealer for the F150 not throwing error codes and the diagnostic tool not picking up errors. That's totally on Ford.
The dealer is ordering a new radio module because multiple people have observed the issue and they are unable to fix it with the tools available.
Hope this works.

Hopefully the dealer can review the wiring harness connections while replacing the radio module. With the truck two months old, I definitely won't be poking around the computer.

The only time I've seen issues so far with Sync 3 was on a unit with a weak battery. It had been jumped and I paired my phone (long dealer trade drive). Put it in reverse got the camera, then driving down the road the camera wouldn't turn off, and I had no control of the radio. After 20 min of driving I got fuel and restarted the car and it was fine, no further issues once the battery was changed. Not sure if it was just a hiccup or if the low power caused problems. Even if your truck is starting, might not hurt to make sure it's in good shape. It's not uncommon at all for battery's to go bad sitting on the lot.

well, the part came in yesterday. The dealer was able to change it out today.
Good:
-I tried a couple times to cause the stop work and things look good. Of course, a couple days will tell the truth.
Bad:
-The piped-in v8 sound is absent. I'm worried that the active sound-dampening is also affected.
Well. I'll give the dealer a call in the morning.
