Not being too sure how craigslist is for these things in your area, but last year I did an engine swap in our boat and hit up craigslist for both an engine hoist and a stand. Once I was done, I was able to sell them fairly quickly for what I paid for them. Yeah, it's a bit time consuming dealing with sellers and buyers, but I just don't have the room to store such bulky items.

Not much to contribute except name ideas- how about Stinkinstein? Sounds like the restaurant Steak 'n' Stein but better.
Or FrankenStink, which would be the hot dog joint next to the restaurant.

Frank-N-Stinky fits in many ways now. Frank and Stinky, plus the fact that he'll be kluged together from different trucks and aftermarket parts. Back bumper from an '02, engine from a '95, upgrade mods, etc....

For many - it's a matter of where your interests lie. I am into boating, and my first big tow vehicle was described one time as "a raper van". It was damn ugly, but it towed just fine with that 460 under the box. Thinking tow, tug boat, and ugly, the van was called "Tugly". That's how it works.

I am totally confused.

I've been busy trying to do cylinder leak-down tests on Al and Frank with this:

Before I explain my confusion... can an experienced diesel mechanic please tell me what I can expect from this inexpensive device?
