I'm providing sources for 5 lug 20" wheels...

I know how hard it is to obtain the 5 lug 20" Budd wheels. Especially the safe wheels. I looked for a year before I found mine. I'm making this thread to provide sources when I come across them. I'll update it whenever I comes across potential sellers.

I run a variety of searches almost daily using software that should pick up either the wheels themselves or inexpensive trucks that have them. I hope these links help some people. A note: I usually can't say whether the wheels are "safe" by the pictures. It's best to contact the sellers.

Here's the first possibility:

1950 Ford F5

FYI most of my results come back with sellers somewhere in the northeast.

Here's another:

1950 Ford F5 $1600

I have three lock ring wheels (not widow makers) with rubber on them. They would need to be dismounted and inspected. Free to a good home. Local pick up preferred.

Sure would be handier if you'd post the actual links for what you find. I've had no luck finding them from your citations. Stu

Stu - I'm confused. Are the Craigslist links I provided not working for you?

Nope. When I post things like this I highlight the listing title, copy, then paste it into the thread here. If others are able to open yours it might just be me I guess. Stu

Those sure look like widow makers to me.

Yep, the first one's rear ones a WMs. I'd say a good bet the fronts are too. The second I can't tell.

I think they are both widow makers. The best sources of locking side ring 20s are the 1947 and earlier Fords and Studebakers (Firestone RH design), and all Dodge and IHC trucks up to the 1970s. Seems Dodge and IHC almost always have the more desirable Goodyear split side ring rims. Stu

I've been there. It's a big yard, and lots of old trucks. Stu
