1999 F250 springs

I have a question for the Ford wizzes... I have a 1999 F250 super duty ccsb 2wd xlt v10. My question is... Did some of these pickups come without a factory receiver hitch? And without the overload springs on the top? I bought this pickup used and after some use, I noticed the hitch didn't look like others I'd seen, and the rear is lower than a coworkers pickup that is the same model. Plus it only has a 4 pin flat plug for lights..... Any insight would be helpful... Thanks in advance

Well I'm not a wiz but I've seen a couple without factory receivers, actually looks pretty odd not to see a hitch. If you're going to tow I would definately buy a Hellwig or equiv. helper spring, that's probably all you would need unless you tow a big 5th wheel.

No 5er here... Mainly hay and other similar loads on trailers and in the bed. I will look into some helpers... I had some Firestone bags on my last rig... But towed much more and a lot heavier...
