Tom, thanks your offer on the pump core I'm hoping to reuse my core. And everyone "Thank You" I'm going to remove my water pump Thursday, hoping for a clean removal with no problems. If I'm lucky...

Good luck getting your wrinkles ironed out. The guys that jump in to help everyone on this site is just unbelievable. They have sure helped me and my grandson Austin. Austin also is autistic and he was born deaf, he does have a cochlear implant. You guys have a leg up on us our truck was disassembled. We have the chassis and running gear about 99% complete. Ready to start some body panels. If your grandson is like mine he watches every move I make to be certain everything is proper.

NAPA sent mine out and had it rebuilt. I don't know where they had it done but it was documented with photo's. Don't remember the cost but it wasn't overly expensive

Hey RMP,
Welcome Aboard! Did you mention that you had a motorcycle with a side car?
That would be horrible if you accidently posted a pic....

Putting carb back on previous owner had 4 gaskets under carburetor any reason to shim a carburetor with that many gaskets?

I think the carb needs to be spaced fairly high off the manifold. I know mine was using several gaskets.

And the parts book shows B6A 9447-B as the gasket with a quantity of 6.

Well from eye ball it looks like just a fine thread. Not a machine thread so I'm going to go on a limb and say 3/8NPT. I'm not giving up $110 invested into this one. As soon as I broke it I instantly thought of your core I thank you truly if need be, I can swap my rebuilt parts into that core.... So I'll type out the part wire wheel inspected thread and come to a determination.
