leaking passenger door

leaking passenger door
I bought new door rubber seals from LMC and installed them on my crewcab. The front passenger door is leaking somewhere and the water is collecting along the scuff plate. I will go out after it rains to try and figure it out but still at a loss. The rubber seems to be seated right, there is water on the inside of the door frame. Has anyone ran into this issue as well?

What kind of truck are you the proud owner of?
year model etc etc.
And what kind of rubber seal your replacing ie door, window, windshield?
(that kind of info could hook you a good size "expert")
Pictures go a very long way on here as to helping us help you
that being said....it is a well known fact that LMC rubber, is not the most perfect for ANY application. but i digress
Did you cut it to short? Did you use a rtv adhesive? Did you start at the top or bottom? Could you have possibly installed such said seal backwards?
Is the leak on the driver-side or passenger side?
(passenger-side could be a leak in the heater core)
What kind of condition is your drip rail in? is the seam sealer dry and cracked or is it gone?
There are a ton of potential answers to one problem.

Go out and dry the inside very well then take a water hose to the outside of the truck then start wiping the inside (that you just made sure was dry) with a paper towel, you'll find it. May not be coming from where you think it is. Look on the dash where the windshield goes into the seal and where the seal meets the frame. Also look between the dash (the metal dash) and the wall of the cab. I know it sounds odd but i have seen it. Crew cabs are bad about not sealing around the windshield due to the new roof being hastily welded on after the original ones were removed during the original manufacture of the cabs. If you look on the outside at the top most of them are a little mismatched and sometimes even still have remnants of un burned mig wire.
