'05-'07 Headlight upgrade???

Another head light thread. On my '03, do I need to update any wiring in order to run the '05 and up head lights? What changes to the header panel do I need in order to make them work?

Its not too bad if you have a sawzall, then finish with a dremel tool. Took me a couple of hours. You could replace the header panel instead, just a few bolts and about $100.
Then the adapter pigtail is all ya need!
Totally worth it- a great upgrade.

I think I would prefer that route instead. Where are you picking up the header panels from?

I came across a guy with an '02 and replaced the entire front end and bed with a 2015. no videos of how he did it, just the end results. He said he did it because he wont give up the 7.3 !! Truck looked really good.

I would think that would require the lights and fenders and bumper mounts since they changed the bumper mount in 08. Just thinking which always causes issues. I would be curious to know for sure though.

To OP, i really enjoy my 07 lights. I had the blasted out 01 lights and could not see. I am using the bulbs that came in them from Clay and have no complaints out in the country. I went to lowes and bought 4 of the 1/4" speed clips for the top and 1/4" phillips head bolts so I could use one tool to change the lights. That's just me being ocd though

On the header, i used one from certifit one time and it fit fine.

I'm going to do the swap myself and had some questions concerning an HID kit for the newer lights; the top bulb is low/high and the lower bulb is marker?

Although I see some LEDs that might work, both hi/low with the same bulb.

Jason....are you mainly wanting a different look or better performance? If performance, why not just change the bulbs and install an upgrade harness? I think that is what I'm going to do since my lenses are clear. Seems like that would be easier, but if you're looking to a new look then that's different.

I have a cut header panel you can have....I sold all my 05-07 stuff just last month!

It took all of an hour to cut the header with a dremel. I bought my headlights from Certifit in Baltimore. I used the CNC milled Ford grill. That puppy cost about 300 bucks. I also got the GOS performance upgrade relay harness for the headlights. You can make it yourself but for 100 bucks it wasn't worth my time.
