Afternoon all. The wife needed a couple of things from Springfield so the grease monkey and I made a quickie run through the pick-n-pull. I picked up a couple of good looking tensioners and some odds and ends. Had I had the big wrenches with me, I would have come home with a much nicer bumper than the one I have. It's kind of sad when I'm told to pick up whatever I think I need and I wind up spending less than $30.

I also found the final annoying vibration I've been chasing - the right front tire went bad. I put the spare on and its running smooth as silk. I've got another tire for it so I'll add that to my list of things to do.

End result - cold AC, smooth cruise, and a nice idle response when turning the AC on and off. Now I'm all ready to cruise it on up to Sparta here in a couple of weeks.

 

sounds good dave.. although not a 300 like last year, it is still kinnda cool... i hope i can get ole rip to the sparta show to park next to yours again.... . i need to get up to sparta and get the grille, bumper, hood trim and emblems installed.. probably wont have time to get the carpet, door panels and headliner in.. would like to at least have it able to get there all pretty an shinny.. to bring home my trophy.. ha ha ha ha

 

Evening All!

I got Ray's visor painted today, but it'll be a few days before I can color sand and buff it. I like the way it came out. It should look good when I'm done. Tomorrow starts the axle upgrades on Earthquake.

RC. I also started to smooth out that one corner in the bed. I'll make sure the outside of the bed is done. I hope to have the inside also, but we'll see.

 

sounds good alan.. i found a better frt bumper for it, i will come spend a few days up there and try to make it look ,like a truck again.. would be nice to get the interior done also but not really that necessary.. getting excited about being able to drive a real truck again..

 

I'm gonna do my best to get you ready in time for the show.

I sure won't turn down help. Just make sure you don't forget to bring the shiny pieces up for your truck. You're gonna look silly pulling in to the show with no grill or headlights.

My junk can wait get EQ/ol rip ready for the Sparta show on the 11th (it is the 11th right?). I will drive what ever will start and make it there, and that ride might drag the tube buggy there?

Good morning everybody. Pretty uneventful weekend. We do now have a Ford Flex in the driveway to do some paint fixes, detail and whatever else he adds to the list. Odyssey van is about ready to go home...once the rear latch on the driver slider comes in.

 

Overwhelmation,yes it should be a real word. I got a 300-6 now all I need everything else

 

RC I know you will come give me a hand when ever ( I appreciate that fact too), and Alan has enough on his plate, so lets get this car show over and go from there to do anything to my stuff..

John T what are you looking for to put that 300/6 into?

 

AC is awesome! Listening to a dying alternator bearing not so much. It's still under warranty so I'm off to get another one.
