Good morning everyone, and Happy Saturday!
Got the hitch-mounted lift installed yesterday. It's a Bruno ASL-250. Pretty slick, it draws power from the 7-pin trailer plug to lower to the ground and pick up her power chair. Haven't weighed this chair yet, but the demo chair was about 320 lbs, so it's not something I can pick up and throw in the back of the van.
Between the lift and chair there's about 470 lbs on the hitch, and it's pretty impressive how little the Transit squats.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend and remembers the meaning behind the holiday.

Morning people.
I like the system Tom. Easy to get Hannah's chair on and off. Simple is good. Being 300+ is not something you want to be tossing around.
Man we have gone straight to summer. Hot, hot, hotter. Sweating up a storm. I put the air on in the camper and it runs most of the day, but does keep the Newf's cool.
Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend.

Tom it looked like a good time on the quad. You'll be surprised how well they hold up to occasional abuse, especially the newer ones. I wouldn't worry much. The engineers would be smart to use one way breather valves (I'm not sure they do) for the crankcase. I miss the 4wheelers and dirtbikes. The area's I used to ride have all been turned into housing developments or the state doesn't allow OHV's anymore.
It was a great weekend with my grandparents and girlfriend. Amber learned how to fish and bait a hook, watching her face was hilarious as she stuck the worm. She caught more than I did and bigger than I, not bad for her first time fishing. The larger bass was a luck catch, as soon as it was out of the water over the dock the fishing line broke at the sinker. We planned on eating it but didn't catch any others that were worth food so it lived to swim another day. By July/August the bass will be huge and the eating will be good. Hopefully some walleye come up to the worm too. It's too warm for the pike, the lake was 74* in the water. Warmest at memorial day I can remember. There has been years that there was still ice in the lake at May 1st
