edelbrock preformer rpm cam any good?

Edlebrock says stock or their springs. Summit says you must replace the springs.
FWIW I would replace the springs and upgrade the valve seals while I was at it. This cam is good up to 5500 rpm. You think your old stock springs will hang on for that? Stock these motors probably never saw 5000 rpms.
What engine are you putting this in? What compression ratio? Headers? Performer intake or other fine brand?
Being a long duration cam compared to stock, it isn't going to work to it's potential in a stock low compression 360 or 390.
