VIN help

I am sure this has been asked a million times but I cannot find a link to decode myself. If someone will post a link I will do the leg work of decoding my plate, well the truck I am looking at. Also while I am here I will ask your opinion. Guy wants a grand for this. Hasn't been started since 96. What do you all think? The only rust through is on the drip rail.

The warranty plate on the driver door has the VIN, axle and trans codes.

No transmission. Is there an engine?

OK, stand by. I do not have the decoder ring. Numberdummy and maybe one other person does. I do not believe there is a reliable site that has all the codes. Some codes mean different things in one year or series than they do in another later series.

That should have an FT engine in it, most commonly the 330. There are two versions, the MD and HD. A 361 would be another possible OEM engine.

Two speed rear axle?

What are your plans for it?

Tires and brakes can be breathtaking.

I don't know what my plans are for it yet.lol. I wanted to buy the fenders to make dually fenders for my F350 but my girlfriend said she would hate to see the truck torn apart. She is not excited about my trucks and so when she gets excited and wants me to buy one it is hard to pass up. Give me some ideas. I like that bronco mod that was done but this has a crazy wheelbase. I am also not Opposed to keeping the bed either and making a car hauler out of it.
