One of the guys suggested to me the other day to look at the axle pivot bushings because I said my 95 F250 5.8 4x4 was drifting back and forth until I hit about 55mph or if I had a load on the bed the steering would tighten up and be fine. I crawled under the truck and took a look, sure as anything the rubber bushings are elongated. I'm actually lifting it up this afternoon after work and starting the repair. hopefully it goes easy, I called the mechanic I use when it's too cold outside to work on vehicles and he quoted me 7.5hrs book time @ $90.00 an hr plus parts. So we're looking minimum of $715.00 for replacing 2 bushings, I told him, it was too expensive and I'd do it myself.
