33" vs 34" vs 35" tires

So, I'm at a dilemma at this point. I was going to go with 33x12.50x20 but am worried they may look too small. From what I'm reading though the 35x12.50 will rub really bad on a leveling kit. Problem with the 295/60 (34x11.5) is there's not many choices in that size. For a 2" leveling kit with a 3" rear block what would you guys go with?

Toyo MTs and ATs and Nitto MTs and ATs are availeable in 295/60/20. Keep in mind the Nitto MT (34.45") sizes run big so they are about .5" taller than the Toyo MTs (33.9").

From what I've seen 33/12.50 is pretty much perfect with level. If you're worried about looking small just make sure buy a tire that actually measures out to 33" or at least really close. The "35's" on mine according to manufacturer specs actually measure 34.5". Also I always refer everyone to look up Custom Offsets and check out all the examples of level and tire combos and they give info as to wheel specs as well.......actually quite a few trucks on there with 35/12.50 on a level.

Yea, I know about checking the tire specs to ensure they measure out correctly. I know there's some small and some big 33's and 35's which is weird, but it's true. Most of the trucks I've seen leveled with 35's seem to look "stuffed."

Ended up ordering the 33x12.50x20 Iron Man All Country M/T's. We shall see how I like them! Can't beat them for 800 bucks, even if I don't like them.

I have the 2" front level and 3" rear block with 305/55/20 (33 x 12) Toyo AT Extreme II. I think it looks perfect. Bigger would look weird.

Yea, I've got the Rancho quickLIFT front which gave me about 2" in the front. The rear is only about 1/4" taller than the front now. I'm thinking of going to the 3" rear block too. Just put the 20x9 0 offset Dominators on with the 33x12.50x20 Iron Man All Country M/T's tonight. Also, I put in new OEM TPMS sensors and used tuner style spline drive open ended chrome lug nuts. Don't have to worry about anyone stealing the wheels since they're open ended and sunk into the hubs of the wheels.

I'm so glad I didn't go bigger than 33x12.50. They rub on the front valence and also on the inside edge of the mudflaps. If I had gone with 35's they'd rub insanely bad unless they were 35x10 or something. The 33x12.50 seem to fit perfect.

It's dark out! Haha I'm gonna get pictures after I get the truck detailed. It's extremely dirty right now!

Where are the pics? Also, it isn't the height, it's the width. 12.5 will rub in most instances. I am running 285/65r20 BFG KO2s which are 34.5 inches tall and 11.2 inches wide with no issues

I can get some today. It's pouring outside so I'm gonna wait until a bit later to get some. I didn't want to run a "narrow" tire like the 285/65. That's probably why people say 35's will clear is because they're running narrow. For myself I'd rather take the 1" wider than the 1" taller. The wider gives the truck a meaner stance and feels more "stable" to me.

I'm happy with it. Just the right amount of poke outside the wheel wells, tires look aggressive enough, the fitment is decent besides rubbing on the front mudflaps, very very minimal vibrations, and it rides pretty damn good. I took the driver side front mudflap off and trimmed it down, gonna do the passenger side tomorrow! I don't think I've got any rub on the front valance, just the mudflaps. Also, definitely need the 3" rear block. A lot of the time the front end looks higher.

Wow I have to say I really like the looks of them! I do a lot of commuting miles and of course these tires would be way to aggressive for me...but they do look good on your truck!
