Attn 92-97 guys: Repair or replace this truck?
Hi, I'm Buck, I'm a new member but have stopped by the site many times while wrenchin so thanks for all help!
TECHNICAL:
I wanted to ask for some opinions about what to do with my truck now that a Sebring tried to drive under it. The passenger side bed & cab are pushed up pretty good. The bed & door damage seems an easy fix with replacements but I don't know what my options are with the cab --it's buckled all the way up under the back window. Not sure the pics show the extent of the damage but maybe y'all could offer some advice about whether the cab can or even should be fixed.
Can the damage be cut & replaced?
Is a replacement cab a nightmare?
Should I part it out?
Sell it & move on?
Should I have it cremated?
PERSONAL (read on depending upon your personal boredom threshold):
After a couple years of dreamin about a new truck, I realized I really don't wanna part with this one --I've had this truck since new & it runs like champ so I had recently been making plans & collecting a parts list to start gettin her back in shape & install a Dana 60 up front. However, now that the door is stuck shut it's a real problem, constantly loading tools in & out as well as the occasional baby seat. Unfortunately, I don't have the dough to just pay someone to fix it & I'm certainly no body man.
Any ideas will surely help me decide what to do with my poor ol trusty rig. Thanks

Trying to take the sentimentality out of it ( I know, hard!), going by the age of the truck it may be better to move on. With that kind of hit on the side, I'd be afraid of opening up a really big can of worms trying to repair it. Anything is repairable though, it just becomes a matter of will, time and money.
Good luck! Out of all the truck I've had, I miss my '96 Eddie Baur the most.

The cab damage probably will cost more to repair than the truck will be worth once it is fixed, unless you do the work yourself. If you can get a good donor truck, very cheap, and swap the cab & door, it'll probably wind up being about even if you do the work yourself...
I would suggest you part it out and get another truck, unless there is something special about the truck for you.
