Dana 80 Trac Loc Rebuild
Is there any way to stack or shim the trac loc clutches to make the trac loc more aggressive on these trucks(2011 F350 DRW 4x4)? I've read tons of info on the D80 about a "restack" but most of it applies to Dodge stuff where they have up to 12 plates/clutches per side. The Fords only have 7 and I can't see any logical way to restack them which would change anything.
Factory Order is:
Side Gear
Preload shim
Clutch
Disk
Clutch
Disk
Clutch
Disk
Disk
I also tried adding an old clutch disk between the last 2 disks but it makes the package way to thick to get the case halves together. Anyone have any input besides the usual "swap out for a locker"?

I've done this on my Mustang using Ford's Trac-Lok, but can't remember where I put my notes on it. The idea is to replace one of the steel plates with one of the old clutch plates. One set of plates are splined to the shaft, while the other are splined to the inside of the side gear body. Restack the plates so that there are more surface contacts between plates that are splined to the other structure, including the side gear itself.
