It's a 226, 254 in F-6 only...t would have a synchrosilent too if it was a 254 Fortunately, I have a spare one to put in it, but I think I'll drive around a little bit with the crashbox just to practice

My plan is to go through it cheaply; paint it with materials I already have, scavenge pieces from my spare parts and good used stuff from other jobs. Brakes, have to be new so that's a bit of my budget.

Same for wiring, getting all new, but haven't decided if I'm going to 12v because of the Gen pulley setup. I've not had issues with 6v so...

It's got 5.83 rear that's going in my MH so at some point I'll rebuild a 6.6 with some R/P we have at the shop which are 5.6:1 (new ratio to us) so interested to see how they will work

I have a 2-speed I rebuilt last year before I had a MH axle, but think i might put it in my 63 F500 (223 weazer needs another gear)

I'll post as i fix

Super clean Jafo
The body looks great, that's a good head start to have.
what kind of gears does it have? 5:83 or 5:14?

Rebuilt a truck carb today and got it idling very nice. It drives OK and (barely) stops but good enough until I can get a coat of primer on it. and assembled as a truck again.

I sanded the whole cab today, not perfect, but not planning on it being. I'm going to cheat and use the front clip from my F-5 I never disassembled... it'll save a bunch of time. If weather permits I'll shoot the primer tomorrow. Still need to give a quick once over the doors tonight.

One iffy Hub on the rear and needed bearings so I opted to put the rebuilt 2-speed from my other project. Guess it's a F5 now

Looking Good! I had installed a two speed in my F4 also, but I decided to put the 5.83 axle back in and install a Brownie for the overdrive. My rear brakes were good, but my front drums were already .080 over and scored pretty deeply.

I'm putting the 5.83 in my other F5 along with a 5831 BBox w OD and a MH transfer/front axle ...eventually.

The 2 speed and spare front drums are from that so at least they'll be put to good use

It ain't winning any car shows but it's shiny
Weather-stripping, wiring next

Now for all the small parts ... Man there's a lot of small parts
