2016 Superduty puddle lamps
I thought my 350 Lariat came with puddle lamps. Looking on the Ford site and searching here, I cannot find anything about puddle lamps on the superduty's. Looking at the bottom of the mirrors, it looks like the mirrors have plugs where the puddle lamps would go. Has anyone added puddle lamps to their Superduty? Some pics and specs would be nice to see what you did.

I did not add puddle lamps but I did add a row of LED lights under each door. About $12 total for led's and about $10 for harness. On the frame rail behind the rear door there is a wire for running board lights. It was plugged with a cap. Found a metra radio harness for speaker that fit perfectly, wired led's and it works perfect. Unlock doors, they come on and go out when locked or closed. Here is a pic of the harness

My 15 is a Lariat and came with factory steps but no lights. I thought this was a well worth it addition.

Upon further review, my XLT doesn't have that stock harness. Must be a Lariat deal. Bummer.

The lights are self adhesive and very strong. I have had no issue with them at all. Tons of rain where I live and they work just fine. I just wired them together and then to the harness. You will need to add wire for length.

If you don't have the harness under the cab, then you're going have to tie into one of the dome lights or the light that shines on the bed.
Hopefully someone who has access to a wiring diagram can chime in and tell you what color wires to tap into, and hopefully point you to a disconnect somewhere under the cab or in the engine compartment. You could tap into the wires at the light fixture, but then it's a pain to route your wires through the cab and down to the cab steps.
