Thanks; that was a good read.
I ordered the speaker connections and lights that CaptFX4 installed, but I'm probably a few weeks out before I get to this. I am getting line-x next week, and installing my Access cover shortly after that. Perhaps by June I'll have these lights on. Then I want to tackle led strips in the bed, and auxiliary leds near the hitch using one of my upfitter switches.
So many projects with this 'new' truck...

Mine were located almost directly under the very back of the rear doors on both sides. Just crawl under where the rear doors end and look on the frame; should be right there. Take a picture of what you see and posted it. There has been speculation that only the Crew Cabs have the wires, so based on this you should have them. Good luck.

When I first seen this thread I had just bought a 2016 f250 XLT FX4 CC SB 6.2 gasser and it had the plugs. Traded that truck for a 2016 f250 XLT CC SB 6.7 PSD, crawled under it and could not find the plug. So I think the differance is A: the PSD is not an FX4, or B: the PSD did not come with factory step bars. Could be C: all of the above. If somebody finds the plug location for these trucks please share. I have all the stuff to do it with and no plugs to do it with.

I am in the same boat, all of the parts are sitting in the garage. I just need a couple of hours of spare time to do the install. Maybe next weekend? Nope I am helping daughter and her husband with a bathroom tile job. Maybe the weekend after that? Maybe an evening this week?

The LEDs have an adhesive strip on their back, but I was concerned it wouldn't last. I used 3M outdoor tape. It's double sided, and has been holding fine now for more than 18 months. Here's a link
